Background

Digia is a software and service company that helps its customers renew themselves in the networked world.  They offer help with all layers of digitalisation:  digital services, business systems, integration and API solutions as well as data management and analytics solutions. Digia has more than 1,200 employees, and is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland.

Digia needed specialists, developers and architects for various large projects in the Finnish public and private sector. Teams needed to be built from scratch, and candidates needed to be experienced, motivated and skilled across many technologies. Having used Oliver Parks before to find Microsoft Dynamics 365 consultants, Digia selected the firm again to help fill these new roles.

Finding an Exact Match Across Many Roles

All positions required senior level candidates with 5+ years’ experience. The architects needed hands-on experience in several technologies, as well as a thorough understanding of business, and a willingness to share existing knowledge. Most candidates also needed managerial experience, or a history of working on large-scale projects.

Oliver Parks used its private database to map out the best candidates for each of the roles. They were evaluated against all criteria, and then ranked in order of desirability, location and likelihood of leaving their current company.  In the instances in which a candidate met all the requirements except years of experience, they were able to do a technical test to prove their competency.  But for most roles, Oliver Parks was able to find an exact match.

Oliver Parks approached all candidates, explained the opportunity at Digia, and helped ascertain whether the move would be a good match for them. In addition to the technical requirements for each role, Oliver Parks looked at cultural fit and the likelihood of a successful two-way match.  We are pleased to say, that all of the roles were successfully filled with great candidates.
